Get out of the rat race of the big city
and into the quiet environment that stirs the imagination instead of squelching
it with pollution, traffic, and crime. Join us in beautiful, historic downtown
Poplar Bluff.
Poplar Bluff,
Missouri has a safe hometown atmosphere with
lots of natural attractions along with all the amenities of a large city. This
city was selected for the convenience and safety of the student. In a large city
you are subjected to areas of crime that you may enter unaware, tension of
traffic, and the fear of getting lost. By being in Poplar Bluff and offering a
shuttle service, Faux Painting School has eliminated these problems. We know
students are often traveling alone, some for the first time. Poplar Bluff offers
safety, tension free commuting, fine restaurants, and inexpensive, clean
lodging. We offer a shuttle from the St. Louis airport to
the school or your hotel. For more information on the shuttle service, call
us at 573-778-3289.
Two blocks away is the Black River
Coliseum with an indoor
Olympic size swimming pool heated and open all year, and an indoor track. It opens at 5:00 am and costs only $15 for a three
day guest pass.
The school is located 150 miles from St. Louis,
Memphis, and Little Rock. A seven hour drive will get you here from either
Dallas or Chicago. This picturesque town of Poplar Bluff, Missouri is located on
high ground at the foot of the Ozark Mountains. The climate is milder than the
surrounding area because of its proximity to the Ozark Mountains. The winter
temperatures range from 21 to 45 degrees. The summer temperatures range from 65
to 92 degrees.
